Senior Manager, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Verisign iDefense

Will is the functional manager for the iDefense Cyber Reconnaissance Team. The Cyber Reconnaissance Team provides tactical and operational decision support, actionable intelligence and advanced warning via focused monitoring operations, analysis of cyber threat activity, threat actors and their operational environment. Will’s current research interests include transnational hacktivist movements, political mobilization in cyber space and the political behavior of Europe’s online communities. Will previously worked for the US Congress, the European Commission and the German Council on Foreign Relations in Berlin. He holds a Master of Arts in European studies from Georgetown University, where he focused on European security and the development of the EU’s defense capability; he also has a Bachelor of Arts in comparative literature from New York University. Will speaks German fluently.

Senior Malware Research Analyst, Verisign iDefense

Robert is lead analyst and Malware Research Engineer on iDefense's Advanced Threat Research (ATR) team. ATR focuses primarily on cyber espionage activity with the goal of providing tactical and operational decision support via the analysis of threat tactics, malicious code, threat actors and their operational environment. Robert currently leads the ATR team's malware analysis efforts to identify and track malicious code used in cyber espionage campaigns. Prior to joining iDefense, Robert worked as a security engineer within the Security Operations Center for VeriSign's Managed Security Service focused on intrusion detection and prevention. He holds a Bachelor of Science in network engineering from Johnson and Wales University.

Director - Information Security, EY

Mark Brown is a Director within EY’s UK & Ireland Risk Information Security Advisory practice. He advises on information security and assurance in large security programmes with a particular focus on the business impacts of Cyber Security resilience. He joined EY in March 2012 from his previous role as Chief Information Security Officer at SABMiller. Mark's industry experience in global information security strategy transformation, enterprise risk management, information security management and the application of enterprise wide Information Security governance models and their associated control solutions, enables him to provide insightful pragmatic advice to clients on the paradigm of right-sizing Information Security within business. An industry recognised leader in his field, Mark is regularly asked to present at international Information Security conferences on his industry experiences and provide thought leadership on how he has developed and implemented global information security strategies transforming the function from reactive IT functions to pro-active business enablement functions. In 2011, Mark was recognised as SC Magazine Europe’s Information Security Person of the Year.
