In the UK, there are thousands of events and seminars designed to help you develop your digital skills and navigate the wealth of technology available at your fingertips.
However, with a plethora to choose from finding the right events for your business is extremely important. Whether you’re looking to get yourself online, or grow your digital marketing portfolio, the right event is out there for you. The list below is a round-up of some of the best UK events or websites to help you find the right events for your business.
iStrategy London brings speakers from leading brands to discuss how to create effective marketing campaigns and harness the power of customer data. It is also one of the largest digital marketing conferences in the UK and is returning to the capital on 30th September – 1st October.
Le Web is Europe’s leading conference on entrepreneurship. Though this year’s event has now passed, it is worth keeping Le Web on your calendar for 2014. It not only has a stellar line up of speakers, but also has seminars and practical sessions on how to make technological disruption work for your business.
For businesses outside of London, the Online Influence Conference is worth a visit. Now in its second year, the event tours the UK every summer introducing the concept of social media content strategies and how to integrate social media and social data into your business.
Held internationally, Social Media Week is a sell-out every year. Tickets disappear quickly with the likes of the BBC, Google and many large marketing agencies giving advice and tips on everything social-media related. This year’s theme is ‘Open & Connected’ reflecting on the global impact of social media. Social Media Week 2013 is from the 23rd to the 27th September.
As the UK’s largest campaigning group for SMEs, the FSB is a great resource for finding events. The website includes a regional breakdown of the UK where local events are listed and many of which digitally-focused conferences to help small businesses get online and get digital. There may be a small ticket charge for larger events.
The BCC is also divided into local offices. It runs events across the country for businesses of all sizes on numerous topics including how to operate your business online. Similar to the FSB events, there may be ticket charges to attend events so it is worth checking to see if costs are involved.
